Tranny Swap

I have a 86 Chevy Scottsdale K10 4WD. It has a 700r4 Tranny that isn't worth a dime. Is it possible to put in a 350 Turbo without alot of hassle or do I need any type of adapters?

Re: Tranny Swap

Yes you can buy a kit that comes with a spacer to put between the trans and t-case adapter along with the hardware to install it. It lets you install a 2wd short tailshaft TH350 trans right in place of you 700r4. It also comes with a sticker to put on your shifter indicator to give you the 3 speed pattern. I recently bought one of these kits from a local trans shop. I think it was under $100 for the kit. I'll try to find the part # for you.
