Re: Progress on my fight against rust

Hi Chris, you've done an excellent job! Im ready to begin installing rockers and cab corners and supports. Im new to all this and Im not sure how the backing plates fit to the rockers and the floor pans etc. I noticed a book or manual in your pics. Was that an assembly manual and where can a guy get one of them? Thanks Chris and again, Good Job!

Re: Progress on my fight against rust

Thanks, the rocker backing plates are part of the floor, and they attach to the rocker with spot welds all along the bottom of the rocker.
The book is an old issue of Classic Trucks where they show just rocker replacement, I find it's a good guide for where the factory spot welds are located. It's the Jan. '06 issue, I'm sure you could still order the back issue if you were interested.
