Re: The transformations have been taking place...
Thanks man...
Here are somethings that aren't pictured that I had to fix: replaced the headlight switch, drivers electric door lock, both door strikers, high beam dimmer on the floor, installed a color matched cup holder in the console, bolted down seats correctly, installed front belts, centered up the console, removed the antenna from the front fender and using the windshield one. Also added a front air damn... pics to follow soon after I get a couple other things done on the outside. Today I also noticed the ducting was missing in the dash... getting that tomorrow... then the air will flow again!

Re: The transformations have been taking place...
Thanks guys... I got the new black molding installed all aroun the windows and installed new exhaust system from the mufflers back. It made it alot quieter and the tips are tucking...and no more smell either when the back window is down.

Re: The transformations have been taking place...
Well I got the tires mounted... 255/60's and 275/60's... next will be the altitude adjustment. I told myself I wasn't going to go to crazy in depth with it... and somehow I was raised to be "anal" and I'm now really starting to like it after I'm going thru it all! lol

Re: The transformations have been taking place...
Anthony, very nice, clean & stock vehicle. If I ever got my grubby mitts on one that clean I would go right thru it, strip everything out of the inside except the headliner and pop the front clip, pressure wash or sand blast where necessary and spray it all with bedliner spray and reassemble. If you saw mine before the restore you would know why I hate rust so much and love bedliner epray. You'll have a vehicle that is really rustproof. Also a towing tip. I have a trailer like yours and move cars and trucks. Because of the way the rear axels are positioned to prevent whipping (to far back), if you put the load on as you did (forward) it puts to much weight on the toung and the rear of the tow vehicle. I back everything on and can center the load much better. Jim

Re: The transformations have been taking place...
Well I went down and finished up the details late this morning at the engine shop... and I left her there. It'll be getting a 350, RV cam, Forged pistons and a double timing chain. I normally try to do all my stuff on my own... but not this time (the $ difference didnt seem worth to me anyways). So by next week it'll have a new "heart".
The reason for this being done was when I removed the LOUD gear drive... the knocking noises appeared. I changed the main and rod bearing on Monday and the crankshaft was pretty well shot... and when I started and drove for a while.. the #2 piston was starting to knock again (I think the pin is worn). Anyways this is the latest update...

Re: The transformations have been taking place...
Went down this morning and it was getting prep'd for paint, etc. Also picked up some 2" lowering shackles as well as ordered some new shocks for the corners for when she comes home.
