WANTED: A NICE 1972 Cheyenne truck
I need to find a `72 Chevy Cheyenne (like it to be the super) with tilt, factory a/c, tach would be nice, PS, PB, 350, automatic, ext. color needs to be red-orange, not just the orange, or maybe red. Needs to be two-tone with white. No step sides. Any and all photos and e-mails would be great. I`d rather most of the restore already be done. I need a sharp looking `72---

Nice `71, but need `72
Yes, you have a nice looking `71, but I need the `72 and close to what I have above. If someone can give me a ball park price on the truck above it would be great! (the `72 red/orange I pictured above, start).----- Thanks!

Okay, have to ask.....
Why all the specifics, and why a 72?

Just ran back through eBay and came up with one truck, but its the wrong color (as stated above). It has some nice features...original owner, stowage toolbox-rare, only has aftermarket a/c, no tilt, am only, one rust spot on passenger side by side panel, not original grill. Like the chrome reverse wheels!
Hisname is Carl, its in Alabama and he`ll take $6,500 for it. Item#2414974934 See blow: Last edited by Mackey; 05-18-2003 at 01:34 PM. |

Mine doesn't have the tilt or tach (yet) and it a 3/4 ton. I think he wants to buy a complete truck and drive it home kinda thing.
I'm sure you could find your truck on the Internet somewhere, there's tons of classic cars for sale sites. Last edited by dion; 05-18-2003 at 01:54 PM. |

Thanks for shedding some light. Yes you have a nice looking 3/4 ton and green. What kind of price do you think the truck I have above would bring? Mine at the start of the post. |

Good luck in finding the truck. I tried to give you a few ideas but you say Im rude so take your power seller money and keep looking. Just don't come as a new kid on the block and start demanding something that you must have at any price and expect someone to not have a little fun with you. I think you need to make a few friends here and you may find your dream truck. There is a Red one here in Grants Pass that is about the clone of yours. I know that for the right price, it could be had. Just never acuse someone of being rude when that sonmeone is trying to HELP YOU> Since you are a big Power Seller, I suggest that you continue to look on e/bay. They made alot of these trucks and one will come up someday...All I can say is good luck and I hope you find your truck. Your best bet is the guy in Chico I told you about. If he can't find it, its not out there.
I gave you Dions name and he has a VERY NICE Cheyenne. It is as close as you may find and it was for sale about a month ago. I would love to own that truck. Try Wes in Washington. He has connections. Jerry Moss in the San Francisco bay area. He knows alot of people and with a little luck, one of them will have YOUR RED TRUCK. Good luck in YOUR hunt. Dion, I did in fact find my truck, a 72 K20 with tilt and TOW HOOKS. Awsome truck. It was parked at, of all places, Burger King and I put a note on the windshield. 2 Hours later it was in my driveway. I still have the wants for your truck. I have always had the knack of finding trucks in places that you would never think of. im headed to the Oregon Coast in the next hour, (with cash) and I expect to find something on hwy 199 between here in Grants Pass and Crescent City. There is always some guy with his grand dads truck sitting in a field somewhere, so I am prepaired to buy something this weekend. Im always in the market. ive owned more than 30 of these trucks and have almost every part that you can think of in case I need to build that "special truck". Throw mw a price on the Green Beauty Dion. I am planning to be in Southern Calif in the next month or so..
My email is pbjohnson2@aol.com later |

Tilt and hooks, score! I doubt I'll ever sell mine, Iv'e put a lot into her. But if somebody flashed 15K in my face they'd probably have a truck! I would consider a trade maybe for a Cheyenne swb, a little easier to drive in the city you know what I mean.

Check out that trucks vin closely.
It is listed with a bill of sale only. I would look at it as a parts truck. If you are going to sink some cash into a restoration be sure that you have all the correct paperwork and that all the numbers match up. Some states are more lax on these issues. I myself prefer to avoid all of the issues associated with lost titles. Have fun
