Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Well I looked for my new hinge pins and bushings for about an hour and a half. I think I remember putting them somewhere sothey would not get lost. I am about ready to just order another set.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Finally bent up a nice clean lookin' 3/8" hard fuel line for the small block in the '72 GMC. I'm pretty happy with the results.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

cut out the top of the spring pocket on the passanger side, painted it all, and installed the plate, bag, fitting, and line. then i put the upper a arm back on. i also installed some heater hose around it for more protection of the air line, then i started running the air line inside through the side of the fire wall behind the fender, then i installed that fender and painted it green to match the rest of the burb. also had to take the drivers side fender back off so i can start on that side.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Didn't get anything done on my truck but, my all night project of replacing all my front brake calipers, pads, rotors, and flushing the old brake fluid out. The reason I did all this they updated the calipers finally so they won't warp the rotors anymore.

Yesterday i get 1 of my 4 tires for my jeep that I have to put on before I leave. The other three some how were a day behind the first. So I go down to the UPS Hub here and I'm hoping that they will let me get my other three tires instead of waiting all day for them to deliver them. To my surprise when I walk to a guy in an opening of a back in dock for the trailer when I asked him he told me to come on in the side door and he try to track them down and give them to me. I walk in and there they are sitting on the platform getting ready to be put in the delivery truck. He scans them and I was good to go. All this so I can go to Wisconsin to see family for a week today. Now I'm off to mount and balance my tires before packing up my jeep and heading out of town.
I do like these new tires though. Fierce Attitude M/T

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Ground and drilled the rivets that held the original brake drums on the front of my 67. Went to Autozone and picked up some 67 brake shoes. Went to the junk yard and picked up front sway bar for $30, then went home to start on the brakes. Come to find out the 67 is an early model and GM was still using up the 66 parts. My front pads have to be 66 because the 67 pads are way too big. Took the 67 pads back with my old pads and sure enough... they were 66 pads. Luckily the drums are the same model cause I bought two of those too. Done for the day. I will finish up the front brake install tomorrow and begin reconditioning the front sway bar.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

I installed new mirrors and arms, inside door handles and escutcheons, and brake pedal pad. I aligned the wiper arms and replaced a window regulator roller so the passenger window rolls up and down now.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Took out my drive shaft since it came apart this week. Luckly I just started out from a stoplight and when I heard a loud pop I pulled over, so no damage to the truck. Just a broke yoke.

I decided to upgrade the look and add some gauges to my dash. I did the white gauge thing, It came out better than I thought, I just need to find one more gauge for the left side of the panel, not sure what I would put there yet.

I ordered them from this company-> whitegauges.net , they mailed them right to my door, and I live in Canada. They are an overlay decal real easy to do.

I replaced my power booster today. I thought that I was stopping well enough before now. So a new one of those and master cylinder I need to get use to the 'new' brakes in the ol' girl.

You must be glad you won't be using all those wires! That would suck! Are you going to use steel to shape the area around the gauges or part of the Sierra dash?
