NP208 vs mild 396 big block
I have an 85 Blazer I am dropping a mild 396 into it has a th350 trans and np208 t-case. does anyone know the power ratings for the np208? i need to know if it will survive behind the big block. I am only going to run 33 in tires with 3.73 gears so it is not a rockcrawler but it will see some dirt.

Re: NP208 vs mild 396 big block
I had a 208 in my K5...300hp 350,40's. It lasted 4 years of hard wheeling. Its not a 205,But I would run it to you blow it.

Re: NP208 vs mild 396 big block
i know i am pushing about 375-400hp and about 450-500lb-ft of torque. i do not have exact numbers sine there are no engine dyno shops local but with the combo this is a rough guestimate. i know for sure the trans will handle i just dont know of anyone ever putting this much power through an np208
