WTB-Shifter Parts / Standard Transmission

APP: SM 465 / 4x4 - I need the little square peice that fits at the end of the Z-Bar. It holds the shaft in place on the frame mount. Or If any one has a complete good working assembly - Z-Bar, both ball studs on each end/square retainer peice and push rod that goes from the clutch pedal to Z-Bar. I'll take a look at ...

Update: I've added some pictures. The square peice fits on the outer stud that is mounted in the groove on the frame bracket.

Thanks

Hey David, coach me some. We are parting out a 72 350 3sp column shift that was low milage and everything is nice and tight. Will any of these items work for you or is the 4sp 4x4 completely different?
Always appreciate you Paul

Re: WTB-Shifter Parts / Standard Transmission

Its going on my '72 Blazer. I can't find the little square peice at the end (frame side)... Anyway, I believe the Z-bars are different on 2wd and 4 wd and 4 SP top loader compared to a column 3 SP. I might take pictures and post for clarity. Any other comments would be welcome.

Yeah, that is on the frame. I need the square peice that fits on the end of the outside z-bar/ball stud, which fits in the groove and holds the complete Z-bar assy in place.

Re: WTB-Shifter Parts / Standard Transmission

I re-installed mine a few months ago and after seeing your post I had to go check and see how I did installed it. Maybe I better look for one too! I remembered that mine didn't have it when I took it apart, so that's how I put it back together. Maybe it's on that "don't forget to check before driving" list I have around here!?

Re: WTB-Shifter Parts / Standard Transmission

Good news, I found the peice. It was at the bottom of my shop garbage can. My son picked through the garbage before he changed liners and found it. Know idea how it got in there! Anyway, I'll post a picture of it. Thanks
