Any vendors sell R134 retro kits???

Looking for the R134 retrofit kits for my 72 blazer. Seems all the 12 has seeped out and I'd rather just convert as I've converted some of our other cars with success.

Was hoping a site sponsor might sell a ready to go kit for these trucks.

Wow, 35 lookers and no ideas??

I'd find it hard to believe no one here has done a 134 conversion or knows of a kit made specifically for these trucks. I'd like to find it with one stop shopping rather than source a bunch of parts individually.

I thought I bought my orings and larger diameter connections at NAPA.

The **Partsguy** (Name on Ebay) rebuilt my stock hoses with the new rubber that will not blow out with 134.

Re: Any vendors sell R134 retro kits???

Thanks John. I kinda figured I'd be all over town parts chasing. I've had to do that for other 134 changeovers.
I know there are kits out in the aftermarket for some of the more popular models, and was hoping I'd get lucky with the blazer thinking there might be a simple kit with everything I need.
Figured if there were, you guys would know about it.

Oh well, guess it's off to the store to start sizing up 0-rings again

Re: Any vendors sell R134 retro kits???

Thanks Bobby, that POA was one of my concerns.

When I did retro 134 swaps in the past, on some of the cars you can just buy a kit, and it came with the POA eliminator setup with a low pressure switch. It saved all the hassle of hunting down and buying parts from various suppliers, hence the reason for my original question.

I needed to remove the POA valve on this swap too, and if there wasn't a complete kit available, I needed to know where to buy a POA eliminator seperately,,,,so your post was a huge help. I figured if these trucks are so popular then someone might be making a complete kit for these too.

I wouldn't think you would have to worry about your original condensor as you mentioned. They are so large in these trucks that I've found they do an acceptable job with 134 in the conversions I've done in the past.
As a matter of fact, I converted my 79 1 ton pickup to 134 about 8 years ago. A very easy one to swap, as GM didn't use the POA valve anymore at that point, and I'm still using the original condensor on that one, it's cold enough to run you out of the truck in minutes

Anyway, I guess I'll be giving a shout out to Old Air Products, thanks again.
