air conditioning aftermarket
I am in the future going to put in air in (when I can afford it) can some of you post pictures of under the dash vents with a aftermarket air system for a 1972 Chevy truck?
Thanks.

Re: air conditioning aftermarket
Sorry no under dash vents here. I used Vintage Air and it uses the stock vents and stock a/c heater panel.

Re: air conditioning aftermarket
Classic Auto Air I believe does the same as the Vintage air setup as far as vents and heater panel, but it hides up under the dash more. Downside is you will lose most of your glove box.

Re: air conditioning aftermarket
I have Vintage Air and have smaller side vents than those big stock ones. I think it looks better... sorry I don't have better pics.

Re: air conditioning aftermarket
So you can't use a vintage air kit if you don't have factory air vents???? My cab is a non-A/C truck was thinking of this in mod in the future.

Re: air conditioning aftermarket
No, they come with their own vents as seen in the pictures. they just mount in the same locations as the factory ones, although are different in shape from the factory ones.

Re: air conditioning aftermarket
Just installed the V/A kit in my 69 burb. The kit comes with everything you need including the templates you need in order to cut your dash for the center and two side vents.

Re: air conditioning aftermarket
I was originally going to use the space for the stock radio and use larger, more directional A/C vents. And then use that aftermarket headliner that comes with speakers and s spot for radio.
