Most bada$$ truck at school

Hey all,

Apparently there is word goin around that i have the meanest truck in the school lot! (Random kids come up to me asking if im the one in the blue GMC) I dunno what its better at? Attracting the chicks or the fuzz? But one thing is certain! Not even the Preppy kid's powerstroke diesels can beat good ol' american muscle!

Just thought id let ya'll know!

Matt

Glad to hear your getting props for your truck. One thing to remember is do not under estimate what these late model diesel trucks are capable of. With the right tune, they are creating TONS of power.

I'd watch who I raced. Stock is around 175 horsepower. Less with wear and tune..

Not to be snappy...but i wasnt saying anything about racing...i was only stating that the novelty of Classic Iron never wears off and that it gets more looks then the "preppy" kids diesels....if i had to chose between a diesel and my truck (or any fine looking american muscle)...i would chose the muscle....

Again not to be snappy...

Re: Most bada$$ truck at school

looks good, my 70 attracts alot of attention when i drive it to school. its straight piped, therefore my buddies love it, chicks love it, small kids cry, and the teachers hate me!
Its soo great, goin outside after the bell has rang to go home, firing my truck up, standing on the throttle and lettin my double pumper do its duty and hearin those pipes roar. hah, i make every alarm go off in the parkin lot! heres a progress pic, its gettin ready for paint.

Great colour 71GMCer! Wish I could have had a truck like that to drive to School. Hope mine looks that good one day.
I lived for three years up in Joe Rich. Gotta love the Okanagen. What part of town are you in?

Bill.

Re: Most bada$$ truck at school

Same thing with my '72 back in school, one chick begged me every day for weeks to drive it and of course that never happened. Even if you don't win every race, its still bada** and everyone knows it. I love it when people try to guess the year and area almost always wrong. It's amazing what a few hundred bucks and some time under the hood can do for those old, tired engines.

Re: Most bada$$ truck at school

I know where you are coming from. I got the same treatment while I was in high school! Had one of the nicest trucks in the county, also it WAS the fastest!

Here is what my 70 CST looked like when I had it in school!

Im in the lower mission right now...near gyro beach.

The shot was taken with my phone at my Girlfriends rodeo...thought it would look cool with the western background and the old Ford tractor

Just letting you know my experience with the performer, I was disappointed with my purchase. I put it on my old engine and lost torque (despite tuning). I would save for headers. The idiots who put my new engine in did a terrible job and oil is seaping from the front and rear walls aswell as from the intake bolts. I might clean up my stock manifold, paint it, and put it back on when I change gaskets

Re: Most bada$$ truck at school

I have a performer intake and a summit brand 600 double pumper carb, it made a huge difference over my stock 4 barrel/quadrajet. The only problem with adding power to anything is that other stuff will probably break, after hot rodding around with the motor mods now my tranny is slipping!

Re: Most bada$$ truck at school

It did add top end, but i'd rather have the stock torque if it's still going to be slow. Being that the stock intake ports are almost indentical perhaps your quad was out of tune. Just speculating
