gear box

how do i get the gear box off? i know you have to take the three bolts out but how do you get the pitman arm off the end of the box?

You will need to use a puller on the pitman arm. It's on there pretty tight.

You should be able to rent or borrow a pittman arm puller at an auto parts store. Start soaking the shaft with a good penetrating oil ahead of time.
