Project "Back Burner"
It seems like as soon as I get time to work on this truck something always happens and it gets pushed to the back burner... I'm sick of it! lol I havent really posted much on here, but have been reading a whole lot about these trucks lately. I bought this truck from a guy in need of some cash and didnt really have a project in mind. It was gong in the way I would hae taken it so I figured why not?(My wife hates that line now)
I have never done a project build before so bare with me threw this and give me ANY ideas as no idea is dumb... I get my best views when people tell me what they think looks good to them. Ok so enough blab... Recently I have purchased new race seats, front fenders, wring harness, full set of Auto-meter Ultra-Lite gauges, and few little things. I think the next step is for me to fix the rockers, floor pans, and maybe the pillars. Since they have more rust than I hoped for but since I have the title and it is a small back window and that is what I like I want to fix this cab instead of looking for another one. The truck already had some work done to it but I will just let me pics speak for me...

I had to grind and beat on the inside of the cab for an hour to get all the bondo out.... The PO thought bondo was better than patching the floor and rockers with metal I guess! I will take some closer pics of the floor and rockers tomorrow!

Well... I am going to be making this into like a street rod type of truck. I just got some new toys today and they just add to the motivation! I just need to find the best place to buy my new rockers, cab corners, floor pan, and pillars! I a not sure on the cab corners yet.... I still need to get the rocker completely out to see if there is any hidden rust!
I need some help and opinions on what to do with my bed... The PO cut quiet a bit of the floor out for the backhalf and I can decide if I just need to make another "false floor" or what other option I have... Anyone else had this task and if so how did you handle it? Oh ad here are some pics of my new deliveries...

Good looking project I am using a EZ Wiring harness too. You can't beat the price, and it is a quality harness as well.

I am having trouble on the decision of repairing my cab... It has a bit more rust than I thought which what else is new? I have found a cab full repair and firewall shaved coated in primer... I just wanted to keep the small back window but the patch panels and body work would be close to the price of this cab(I assume). I haven't really got an exact $ quote on all the panels yet... I will try to take a few close up pics of all the rust but I am in the process of building a shed in the back yard for all the useless crap in my garage like the mower and my wife's teaching crap!
