question on brake upgrade on my wife's 72 4 door mailbu

ok so i'm going to be doing a disc brake upgrade on my wife's 4 door malibu amongst others. it currently has 4 corner drums and i'm doing the front disc upgrade. so my question is do i have to change both the brake booster and master cylinder or just the MC or just the booster? fortunately is already has power 4 corner drums so the less i gotta buy the better.

I'm gonna say just the proportioning valve.

You'll need a disc/drum MC as well.

I think you might be alright with the booster you have. You'll definitely need a disc brake proportioning valve and disk drum MC.

Re: question on brake upgrade on my wife's 72 4 door mailbu

my 69 malibu had manual drums. my wife and i converted it to power front disc up front. the kit we used cost us $650 from Aushley's Chevelle in Graham, NC. it came with a new master cylinder, new brake booster, new distribution block, new hoses, new brake pads, ect... everything you need is in the kit. step by step instructions are included as well. there's a night and day difference on my braking now. no regrets
