Any experience with the header back exhaust kits?

My buddy has an 84 K10 w/ a 350 and it has longtube headers. 4x4 with auto trans. It needs an exhaust and i was gonna see if anyone had experience with this kit? Like how it fit up over the crossmember and stuff. already have 2 offset Flowmaster 40's we'd use. Looks mandrel bent compared to the dynomax kit for $20 less..

Thanks

Re: Any experience with the header back exhaust kits?

I helped a friend install one from Summit (house brand) on his 84 long bed. Pretty straight forward kit, I was impressed. The Summit mufflers sounded good too.

Thanks.

What do you do about shortbeds? Does it just come with a little section you take out for a SWB ?

Re: Any experience with the header back exhaust kits?

I would imagine the kits are vehicle specific, there's probably a kit available for the short bed trucks.

If it's like the Hooker and Dynomax systems, it's trim-to-fit. I'd recommend the Hooker setup.
