Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Do a search on here or Google and you will get plenty of hits telling you about the quality.

PLEASE spend your money with a company that has know good customer service. If Ridetech is not in your budget, then talk to Suicide Doors. They are a vendor here, and are known for quality parts at a very reasonable price.

There is nothing more frustrating than a air suspension that fails because it was cobbled together on too small of a budget. If you want to do this, be patient and save till you can afford quality parts.
A friend of mine owns a tire shop literally across the street from "CHASSIS TECH" AIM" "airbagit" etc...(10 min from my house) At his tire shop they do a whole lot of low budget air ride setups and they use CHASSIS TECH products all the time. I have seen a countless number of valves fail, bags blow, control arms bent, tanks leak and on and on...Constant failure with very little ride time. Ya its inexpensive but "you get what you pay for".

If you'd like I can snap some pics for you so you can see for yourself. It will end up costing you more money in the long run. Do it right the first time, please.

You've been warned of their quality issues as well as their customer service practices. Knowing that, buy whatever you want from them & then when you buy the replacement part try using one of the board supporting vendors.

Saving a few bucks up front doesn't mean you'll spend less.

Re: Bag ideas

I wanted the control like that though, do you know of any other company offering one similar? Also airbagit.com is out of the picture found some very bad info on them so im going to order everything from *****************. They sell the upper plates with lower cups and bags. The lower cups are 2 inches is that short enough or will i have to cut them down another half inch??

Re: Bag ideas

Some use them as is; others will cut them to fit their exact height needs. Put them in & go from there.

They need to be tall enough to keep the bag from contacting the a-arm spring-pocket.

Re: Bag ideas

You DO NOT need your A-arms cupped. The only reason you need to cup the A-arms on a 73-87 is if you are wanting to ride really low. Since you aren't running a big notch in the rear you will never need your front to ride that low.

On the 73-87s if you run a short bag cup and remove the fender liners, your crossmember will lay on the ground. Unless you dig a hole you cant get any lower than that. Buy the short cup from Ride Tech or SD and move on.

Re: Bag ideas

out back im going to notch the frame with a 3 inch section from a pipe, if i measured correctly i will be able to flip the axle with a 6 inch flip and use a helper bag to raise it up for ride height. A buddy of mine has a set of helper bags sleeve style but they have 1/4 inch lines will i be able to run an adapter to go up to 3/8?? With this setup i should clear without having to cut a hole in the bed.
