Cool 86 front end rebuild

okay im doing a lift on my 2wd.

i have ordered a set of 88-98 4" lift spindles

i need to order a set of 3/4 ton lower control arms and im considering RockAuto but i wanted to be sure that i am ordering the right ones

since i want 3/4 ton lower control arms i selected an 86 C30 pickup as the vehicle in the catolog search, is this right or is this 1 ton?

Re: 86 front end rebuild

10 = 1/2 ton
20 = 3/4 ton
30 = 1 ton
For Chevrolet
C = 2 wheel drive (R for 87 truck)
K = 4 wheel drive (V for 87 truck)

I did not know you could do this sort of swap myself. I'll be watching to see the outcome. Wish you luck and hope it's what you want. I'm all about raising a truck some.

Yea it is possible, ive been researching all the different ways to lift the 73-87 2wd trucks because i love to have big mud tires and im tired of my tires rubbing at every bump i hit ha ha

and as soon as i found out my spindle was damaged after my left front bearing went out i had the excuse i needed to JACK IT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you can use an 88-98 spindle on a 73-87 truck if you use the 3/4 ton lower control arm as it accepts the larger balljoint.
