I Could use some numbers on my belts I need

I have a 402 ci in my truck and it has the truck set up pulley system which is the alternator and powersteering pump on the right side .. ac on the left..

I go to napa and they give me belts 6 inches to long and then to short and was hoping that some of you might have the correct numbered belts and you could share them me .. I live some distance from town and fewer trips would be nice when trying to get the exact ones that fits.. for now I don't need the ac belt .

papa

Slide the pulleys to the short belt side of the adjuster. Then loop a string around it and tie it.Remove the string and use it as a length guide. This will give you inside diameter since the string is small.

Re: I Could use some numbers on my belts I need

Well , string I have wont work as it gets to deep in the grove and I havn't any rope that would be the size I need ,,got any ideas that might help me get the correct measurement?

I have only the belts that I have bought and brought home and I could cut one and then measure it but for $34 dollars for the two I was hoping some one by Monday morning might just have the same set up and help me out .. thx though ,, papa

I use the string method and then add 1-2 inches depending on how many pulleys you are going around, so if u are going around ps pump and crank, take string measurement plus 1. Crank, wp to alt add 2 inches. worked for me
