frame year question

I have a 74 gmc jimmy and have recently began to wonder if the frame is the matching year. Both of the axles are 10 bolt corp. and the drivetrain, interior and many other parts are from a later K5. Another clue is the emergency brake cable. I noticed mine was broken and went looking for replacements. I was looking in the LMC catalogue and noticed that the entire parking brake set-up is from a later (84-91). Is there any way to tell what type of frame I have? It will make it a whole lot easier to get parts if I can tell what approximate year the frame is. Thanks for your help!
