Schucks rebuilt motors

I was wondering what you guys think about the schucks rebuilt 350's. I think my engine is on its last leg and was looking for a cheap rebuilt unit. Anyone running one of these?

I personally wouldn't trust anything with Schucks written on it, but that's just me.

I gotta say that my truck 250 was bought at a Schuck's in Portland and It's been running great for about 8 yrs and 120,000 miles. Have boycotted them since, however.

Their customer service sucked and I ended up waiting about 14 days after they took my core. I was told it would only be a couple of days. Had to rent a car for 14 days, $$$. I expected to get a lemon after telling them in no uncertain terms that I wanted either an engine or my $1000 back, but haven't had any problems with it yet. It does use about a quart of oil/500 miles or so, at this point.

I agree with you COBALT! You can pick up oil & antifreeze there, but I'd go to a real parts store for anything else...
