Picture time
I really just couldn't think of an appropriate title. I haven't had a chance to take any good shots with cool backdrops lately. I shot these last Saturday in Rutledge, TN on our way back from the Grainger Co. Tomato Festival.
I hope you enjoy.

Re: Picture time
Cool truck and cool backdrops!
Except that the -1 rust (lack thereof) on your truck doesn't go exactly right with the +10 rust (plenty of) backdrop. I like the "Carwash Produce Nursery" sign. The only thing missing is to add "Boat Anchors" and "Haircuts".

Thanks for all the compliments, guys! The color is Atlantic Blue Pearl from the 04-08 Dodge Ram pickups. The wheels are 15x8 on all corners with 275/60/15 rear, 255/60/15 steer BFG T/A Radials. In case anyone else asks, it's a 3.5/5 drop.

Re: Picture time
Rutledge is about 30 miles northeast of Knoxville. I learned something new that weekend as well. During the War of Northern Aggression(Civil War), Rutledge was a srtategic area as its the high point between Knoxville and Rogersville. They had a replica cannon on the hill next to the show. That same spot was where Longstreet made his stand against Union forces trying to invade Knoxville. Eventually Knoxville was overrun from the northwest, then Rutledge was in a full defensive position. It was an interesting history lesson.
Oh, funny story BTW. They fired this cannon about four times during the day. They were only shooting a hlaf charge which is 1/2lb of powder instead of 1lb. Standing behind it was no louder than a shotgun. Standing on the other end, however, was a tad different. The cannon was positioned on the hill just above where the parking lot entry/exit is. When the show was over, we packed up and left. We pulled out onto the road, I had just got into the throttle and BOOM!!! They fired that stupid thing and at first I thought I had blown my engine or tranny or something. I then realized it was that cannon. Pic of the cannon.

Re: Picture time
This my favorite!
Very nice truck you have there, and I might add very tight fit on the body panels, I like that! Lots of time in this rig and it shows! Enjoy.......... Donnie

Re: Picture time
Truck looks cool don't care what time frame it was in. I like the first set of pictures with that light post. I'd like to have that myself. I would love to have the money to fix up a old gas station like that and have it full service again. I miss those old stations.

Re: Picture time
Nice shots with a nice truck. If I ever get up your way again I would love to visit some of those spots . If I remember correctly you also have a nice covered bridge shot somewhere. My Chevelle would look good next to your truck. My truck is another story altogether ,it needs a lot of loving someday.

Re: Picture time
texastrendz, look at post #7.
Hey John, glad to see you back. How was your trip? Just give me a shout whenever you come up. I'd be glad to show you around and take some pics. That covered bridge is only about a 2 min drive from my house. Thanks for all the compliments, guys. I really appreciate it.
