Re: DO NOT OPEN- Air Ride Technologies inside
Quote:
Port 1, in the manifold is the pressure source. Port 2, in the valve body, plumb to air bag. Port 3, in the manifold, exhaust. Port 4, not on your valve body. Port 5, in the manifold, exhaust. There are essentially 3 functions going on in this valve. The one pictured is the static state where all ports are closed and no air can move through it. When You energize coil 12 it pulls the thimble towards it moving the left function block in -line with the ports, connecting port 1 to port 4 and port 2 to port 3. Port 4 does not exist on you valve so no action there but port 2 (air bag) is now open to port 3 (exhaust) ==> lowering. When You energize coil 14 it pulls the thimble towards it moving the right function block in -line with the ports, connecting port 5 to port 4 and port 2 to port 1. Port 4 does not exist on you valve so no action there but port 2 (air bag) is now open to port 1 (air tank) ==> raising.
