Guys I need sum info

Is there any way you can fix the frame on one of these trucks? Y'all all know bout the wrecks I had. I really don't care how much it costs to fix and restore it.

Travis,

if your thinking about another frame, you may just pick another one up. if I remember right, you have a long bed. you could probably pick a used lwb frame up cheap!

buying a used frame would be less money than having yours straightened.

do you know for sure that yours is screwed?

I was told by my dads friend that it was totaled. He is like my dad to me since mine is passed on. I don't think he would lie to me. Also I seen him fix a rolled over ford ranger like a 00 model and it was in way worse shape than mine. I want to keep as much as I can of that truck since it was my dads. I want to restore it and bring in to the future but keep it stock looking with mild mods on it.

Re: Guys I need sum info

If there is any question on the frame you are better off getting a frame than trying to straighten adn align one that is damaged. there seem to be plenty of good used frames around and you could then blast and paint it and do a real ground up rebuild.

Re: Guys I need sum info

alot better off with a unmolested straight solid frame to have a solid foundation for your truck to start with

Yeap you can buy a frame alot cheaper than frame machine time. another issue is the structural stability of the frame after it's been tweaked back to specs. I understand the sentimental value of keeping the truck as original as possible, but if'n your wanting to make any type of suspension alterations, or just beef the motor up. I would start back with a unaltered frame for safety reasons.
I have a longbed truck with a good frame, I'm getting it ready to strip if'n your interested. PM me if you wanna talk about it.
