Need help deciding

I have a 69 SWB with a inline 6 and I want to convert to fuel injection. There are so many options and great detail of motor swaps that I am having a hard time choosing. I haven't purchased anything yet so I was hoping someone can give suggestions on what motor is the best, easist and less head ache to install. I'm leaning towards a vortec as they are plentiful but what year? My goal is to have a good cruiser and enjoy highway driving. Any suggestions you may have in guiding me in the right direction would be great.
