Re: New guy, just got a 57 Chevy truck

Yep, plans are light blue like Panelrat's (without the primer, LOL). Same wheels, caps, and trim rings you described along with whitewalls. I already have a new chrome grill and bumpers, and every other chrome thing I could find for a 57 Chevy truck. Finishing up brake and steering upgrades now and plan to start on body work soon.

Panelrat, nice truck, I've looked at the picture several times already. Makes me impatient to get mine done.

Thanks, can't wait to see the progress on yours too! I love the whitewalls too although I already have them on two of my other old trucks (check out my photo album).

Russell, Light blue like this one, or metallic light blue? I love deep, body colored steelies with stock caps and beauty rings.

Hey Dan! Sweet lil' 46', I just installed new oak bed with polished stainless steel strips. Has a used, cleaned up stock 350 cu. in. with lots of bling, ram horns, noisy gear drive, TH400 transmission. Future plans are finsish body work with possibly satin baby blue and satin cream top.
