hey guys
i was wondering if its posoble to have my parking lights on while my headlights are on. if im not mistaken i think this was discussed before but cant find anything in the search. its a '65 chevy thanks in advance

Easy. At the headlight switch, move the parking light wire (probably purple) to the tail light terminal (probably brown). If that's still not easy enough, just put a jumper across the two.

i did this in my truck after reading this link, very cheap and easy to do! works like a champ.

I believe there is a GM headlight switch that allowed the parklights to be on with the headlights. I don't know what models it was in though, so that's kind of useless. But if you're going to change switches anyway, it might be worth investigating.
After reading the link, I would imagine it would be any switch built after 1968.

I did the same trick from the above link and it works perfect. Love having the running lights on with the headlights.

Jocko...your the man, this is very helpfull, now does anyone know if it is normal for brake and taillight light fuses to burn out in the block??

you're welcome - glad the link helped out. I can't take credit though - I had the same question about 6 months ago and someone sent me the link also - think it was markeb01 if I remember - but anyway, that's what's great about this site - similar questions pop up over and over again - and with all the experience on here, someone is bound to know the answer.

by the way - the rest of the "6066 GMC Guy" website is really good also - lots of good info that applies to both chevs and gmcs, especially electrical stuff.
