Cross brace missing?

I have a question, i have looked at a number of builds here and all that i have seen there was a cross member both foward and behind a rear frame tank install, i just went out and took some pics, i have 1 rear frame cross member (brace) about 12" from the rear of the frame and nothing else until about 2' from the front of the bed, am i missing a cross member?

The 3 pic's go from the rear of the frame looking at the passenger side

Disregard the squair tubing as that is part of my current hitch and will be removed for a reciver type later.

I'll have to look again but there is 2 holes on each frame rail at the spring pearch if i recall correctly, or is it possible some trucks didn't have one?

Yes i have the crossmember at the front spring perch and the other about 12" back from the rear of the frame. I did find another 3/4T build here with the bed off and it looked the same so i don't think i'm gonna be too concerned about it. Thanks!

Yeah, my half k is the same way.

I have see several pics of 80's frames with no middle crossmember...which I find odd.

In fact I am also having the same problem. I have the feeling that I am missing one cross member in my vehicle. I asked a lot of mechanics. Some of them said that I am missing one cross member while others said that some trucks come like that. I personally feel that some trucks are built with one cross member missing. I have decided not to bother about it anymore because till now I have not had any problem because of the missing cross member.

Yea my truck has been the same way every since its been in my family, since 76-77 anyway. I beel better knowing that i have since posted looked at a 4X4 build thd there frame was the same as mine.. Thanks!
