Re: new toy! 79 2wd blazer

Nice that looks like my blazer. I am digging the drip rail too! If it is off a suburban, I feel very temped to do that myself.

Looks like one heck of a project you got goin on there . Be careful not to switch gears and get stuck on this one instead of the original project

I was just rereading this. It's really inspirational to see what this truck looks like now compared to when you bought it. And you didn't have to put alot of money, just some good ole elbow grease into it. Lookin' good man.

I got to laughin about this:

A missing manhole cover? When's the last time you saw that. Maybe in Alaska?

The "pleating" makes me think they are out of a GM truck. I would guess a '92-94 Blazer or Suburban.
But that's just a guess.

Re: new toy! 79 2wd blazer

I think the headrests were part of the 92-94 style seats. So those must be 88-91 pickup/extended cab buckets. (newer body style)

Re: new toy! 79 2wd blazer

I saw a set today exactly like them in my Wife's Uncle's junk yard/gold mine
they were in a 91' extended cab chevy pick-up but they were blue
I so wish they were red, low back's look so cool!

But I did get a nice clean fiberglass cap w/ clean glass and rubber seals
to replace mine!
