Re: Lost My 65
Thanks,
PM sent. Off Topic: is your avatar of wolfman jack from the movie 'American Graffiti' ? I love that movie. I watch it two to three times a year. It was filmed real close to where I grew up. It always makes me feel nostalgic. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Lost My 65
hey, Yes thats a whole inner rocker panel that I trimmed at the rear around where the seat bolts and the seat belt bolts at. I cant remember where I picked it up at, somewhere at the charlotte auto fair. I do know that it cost 69.00 dollars because the price is still wrote on the side of it with a paint pen. I think LMC truck parts has the same peice I used.

It looks like a ford to me. Look in the background of this picture.

Re: What is this Truck?
Looks like a 57-60 Ford. Look at the bed and the way the siides tilt up. Isn't Google Maps fun. I was always getting letters from the HOA about my motorhome being parked in front of my house, but it was only on the Friday before I left and the Monday when I came back. Google maps has a picture with my motorhome in front. They now have the streetview and though I haven't had my trailer in front of my house more than 10 times in the last 2 years it's in the street view. Timing is everything

A soon as I saw it I thought it was a 59 ford give or take a year.

Re: What is this Truck?
Hopefully I'll find out Monday what it is.
I feel conflicted on this one. Some of you know of my search for my Lost 65. Well, through a reliable source I was given the address. It's quite a drive, so I typed the address into Google Maps. Zooming in shows this white truck in the drive. It doesn't show up in street view, and this is the strongest zoom before it jumps to street view. I was just wondering if that white truck looks like a 65 shortbed stepside to anyone. Eitherway, the source is reliable, and it appears to be a regular driver for the owner. I'm conflicted because I want to see it, but I don't want to freak out the owner by showing up at his door. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: What is this Truck?
If it turns out to potentially be your old truck, you might try sending a letter to the house address explaining your history with the truck, along with an old photo, phone number and your return address. That way the residents can consider the information without feeling assaulted by some stranger appearing at the door.
