Removing fan blower
I have a 67 c10 I was wanting to remove the fan motor. Do I have to take the hood hinge off to get the motor out? Truck sat up for 10 years an I think rats built nest in there.

Re: Removing fan blower
Yes, you have to remove it from the fender to get clearance.

Re: Removing fan blower
You can also remove it by removing or dropping the inner fender well. That is the way I removed mine.

Re: Removing fan blower
Haven't done this yet but mine needs a heater core (under same housing), and was reading somewhere else that IF you go the hinge removal route, be sure to trace out around it with a pencil or something before you remove it. That way when you go to reinstall it, you know EXACTLY where it was. Apparently, they can be difficult to get adjusted just right so the hood closes and fits properly.......sounded like good advice to me.

Re: Removing fan blower
I have a 69 and a 72 and was able to remove both without touching the hood or fender. am I special or did I just get lucky?
