Question about SEMA 2010

Sema is not open to the general public only for those who are part of the automotive industry and can show proof of it. Has anyone attended and how hard is it to get in?

Re: Question about SEMA 2010

Their guidelines are pretty open actually, especially the internet category. I read them recently. If you have any kind of automotive website you may qualify for membership and thus be able to get in.

My dad and I talked about it as he runs a couple of chevelle sites and we may go next year.

there is a PDF located here, which has all the requirements.

Re: Question about SEMA 2010

My nephew has attended for several years. He has a business that services the equipment used by the automotive trade. He's always impressed by what he sees.

Re: Question about SEMA 2010

I got an invite from SEMA, as part of their SEMA Action Network, to get in for a day, some kind of Opinion Leaders Program, with the $35 dollars waived

Re: Question about SEMA 2010

I have talked to a couple of people goign, and the easiest way for you to go is to get a shop you know to by a ticket for you. However, I have heard that this is the first year they will actually open it to the public for ONE day. Jason Mulligan from Street Trucks told me this, and he goes every year. I think that is a great idea by SEMA to open it to the public for a day like that, but there is no way you can see it all in a day.

Re: Question about SEMA 2010

that is a good gesture from them. Granted the is primarily for vendors and buyers to get together but it has become just as much a car show as a vendor these days. This would let the public see the cars which is what the vast majority of them want to see anyway.
