73-80 SS Trucks?

I just got back from a car show and there I saw about four SS trucks (all 60's) and I was just wondering if there were any SS options for mentioned models of trucks. If so are there any pictures? I haven't been able to dig anything up about them.

Re: 73-80 SS Trucks?

I seen lots of them "back in the day", people put the SS decals from Monte Carlos on the trucks. They also made some aftermarket stripes that were dead on for the factory Monte SS stripes, would make the decal package complete on the trucks.

The S10 SS was 94-98, then it changed to the "xtreme" package. Before 94 they had the "EL" package.

Re: 73-80 SS Trucks?

Closest they had in 73-87 was the "ChevySport " option RPO Z77
The 454 SS ran from 90 to 93
The S10 SS ran from 94 to 98

LOL, years ago I replaced an aftermarket steering wheel in a '70 Monte Carlo I had with an "SS" wheel from a junkyard. A few years after I sold the car I happened to bump into the then current owner, who swore up and down it was a Monte Carlo SS, just because it said so on the steering wheel.

If you're referring to el Caminos you saw at the show, They're NOT trucks! It's an SS car..

Re: 73-80 SS Trucks?

i re-painted my grill to look like an SS grill. and i was inspired by the 1990 SS truck. i considered SS stickers but thought a paintjob was necessary first....
