Shy guy!
Kevin Hernandez, AKA "Kev's Classic's" won TWO big awards at the the "Goodguys" car show over the weekend with his Smurf colored 72' and he's too bashful to talk about it. Come on lets smoke him out of hiding.

Re: Shy guy!
Ok here's my story.
Started off last Wed. I uncovered the Blazer to get ready for the G-G show in Peasanton. Went to put the top back on and found out I misplaced the mounting hardware I searched everywhere could not find it. So I called the C/10King and he was kind enough to take the hardware off his Blazer. Ok that problem solved. Fast forward to Friday noon. Got off work headed home loaded up the Blazer. My Best friend Mark and his wife Kim showed up about 2ish to ride with Me and my wife Lori. Were on schedule to be in At-water By 3. So we arrived at Rene's (C/10King) on time.We all got out and shot the sh-t for a little.then all got back in the Blazer Wer'e all happy going to Pleasanton. I turn the key.......NOTHING What the heck got out Found the problem and fixxed it. Turned the key again now it cranks but won't fire.I put a Summit HEI about 2 years ago so I figured the cheapo Ign. module went bad. so I swapped in a gm module and she fired right up. So we are off again We are are all happy. So were getting on the 99 And the Blazer dies. Now I am really feeling terrible. Me and Mark get out start checking anything that could be the problem. then she fires we hop in and head back to Rene's. Now I'm thinking Maybe its the coil. gotta be somthing in the dist. so Rene calls our good freind Shu and he comes right over to the rescue with a complete Distributor slaps it in and we are off again. It was a very tense drive but got to Pleasanton with no problem at all. Man I had a knot in the back of my neck from worrying if the Blazer was gonna die in the middle of the 580. But now were here Time for a beer or 2,3,4,5? Yes it was a interesting trip getting there I hope tomorrow is better. Now the good part, We get to the show around 7 am park our vehicles and hit the swapmeet we came back cleaned up the Blazer when I was approached by a Good-Guy official He told me My Blazer a been pick for the "SLICK SUV" award. YES YES YES! I am really feeling happy now. Told me to park in the winners circle on Sunday YES YES YES! Then later that afternoon saw another official looking at "Gumby" YES YES YES! We will be parked together in the winners circle on Sunday Rene got picked for a award also.Only bummer was we had another C/10 Club member David with us who did not get picked. So yes as you would think We partied and had the best time ever the weather was great the cars and truck were awesome. Could it get any better? We head over to the show Sunday morning pull into the winners circle park the Blazer and Gumby Side by side. As soon as I get out of the Blazer I am aproached by the editor of the Good-Guy Gazette Kirk Jones and he tell me he gonna give me a second award the "Good-Guys Gazette Pick" and to top it off with that award they had a photographer do a photo shoot for a feature in the G-Gs Gazette. Man I'm still stoked. So after 15 years of taking me to numeroeus out of town shows with no prblems at all and getting me 2 Awards and a Photo shoot Good-Guys Show. I forgive the Blazer for putting me through such trouble Friday.
