2000 to 2006 1/2 Ton Frame Swap on 56 Short Step?

First has anyone done this and if they did what kind of mods did you have to do to get the body to fit? Im trying to see if anyone had done this mod so maybe I dont have to Reinvent the Wheel. My original plans were to do a 4 link with a Ford 9, a tremec 5 speed and a 502 BB. Im trying to shorten this resto and get it drivable so I can get to work on another project. My plans were to find a Truck (2000 to 2006) with low miles so I would have all the parts I need to make this happen. Thanks for any info you can give on this.
