help need to lock hood

i have a 73 blazer n someone stole my battery last night cause my hood opens from the outside any way to add a locking device. would like to keep my new battery ands not have anyone else cut my wires

hood hinge pins with small padlocks or you could weld a chain inside to the hood and to the core support and lock it that way

I've seen chains used on some older vehicles. Dad had one on his 68 elcamino when I was a kid for the same reason, battery stolen....

These are a great idea but I don't really understand how they work......in the end when my truck is finished I would probably use something like this to lock my engine up but right now I don't think anyone would even think about stealing anything from it

Is it possible to take a hood latch from an 80's square body with the inside hood release and put it in a 70's model and function properly?
