Will a 70 body fit on a 1993 short frame?
I have really nice long bed 3/4 ton 1970 cab all redone and frontend is new. I also drive a 1993 as a daily driver new motor, disc brake rear end and so on. So will a 1970 fit on my good newer frame?

Very true just wondering if it has ever been done and what steps to look for.

I think the 93 swb frame is 2.5" longer than a 67-72 swb frame. I'm sure some one else will chime in on this.

Re: Will a 70 body fit on a 1993 short frame?
I put a 68 on a 88 4X4 frame, the later model frame is wider, the gas tank is in the way, Too high! The cab hits it. The brake system, I mounted the later model booster to the 68 cab, brake pedal stroke is a problem, I had to move a couple of the crossmembers under the bed, mine is a long bed. You have to fab cab mounts, but you can use the late model cab mounts to mount to, at least on the rear, I messed up and cut the front ones off before I set the cab on the frame to see? Anyway this was a winter project for me, just for referance, the steering column from the late model won't fit the early cab without alot of work, I did it but...... I also put the instrument cluster in it, also lots of work but turned out good. I haven't finished this project yet but learned alot and will get back to it some time, hope this helps.

I hope to still find someone that has completed one. I am going to try it I have a lot of money in the frame and running gear of the 93 and the body is cherry on the 70 3/4 ton.
