Re: what speakers?

Personally I like the Pioneer TS-D720C's in a set of kick panels. Done a couple installs with these now and they're a dam good value. Add a small 2/3 channel amp and you're set.

If you add a sub, the Pioneer 12" shallow mount is a solid bet.

Re: what speakers?

most new cars have good speakers..
HHR (PIONEER) mustang, mopars wagon(boston acustic) etc
a junk yard crawl will get you a cheap set.. most are in the doors and are 5 1/4 or 6"

Re: what speakers?

My brother used 2 kicker 6/9 in a box and 2 kicker 6.5 in the kick panels w/ a 400w amp and his stereo screams and still has decent bass.

Re: what speakers?

I got some 6x9 Alpine type R's in mine for $100s. They're not outrageous but a little pricy, but these things are worth it. They got really good "bump" and are super clear. I'd say any kind of 6x9 will get the job done on a budget.
