my 1986 silverado build (aka trick or treat)
i bought my truck last year for $2000.
it wasnt the nicest truck but i liked it, but it needed some work. the paint on it was old and was just left out in the weather for to long, it had a 305 in it and it wasnt very strong. the 305 blew up when me and my father were pulling a car trailer. the trans was going out also. we rebuilt the 700 trans but it still wasnt right, we put a 350 crate engine in it later on out of another 86 we had that was crashed awhile back. then i decided to paint the light bezels and the grille and the rallies black. later on i bought a cowl hood, rollpan, billet grille, and a bedcover from lmc truck. after that i started sanding on the truck. we primered the truck and we were ready to paint it. also blacked out tailights and headlights. we finally painted the truck, black, and then it was ready for interior work. painted the inside black and orange and changed the steering wheel. we just put a new trans in and added a 4barrl and new radiator. now about all thats left is a new seat. im trying to find two bucket seats or a late model bench seat with console. i plan on lowering it later down the road and put different wheels on it. maybe add racing stripes or two tone it, now sure yet. |
