Swapping rear ends

Any hints on swapping rear ends? I have not done this since I was a kid and already discovered the bolts to be froze up. Been tapping and beating on them for a week now to no avail. It's a 72 CHevy 1/2 ton. Tjhanks alot for any help

could do what i am gonna do,cut the u-bolts and put new ones in. saves on the knuckles

WHere do you get replacement U bolts? They don't have them at the part stores here.

you can check with large truck places that deal in driveline parts,or just get a lowering kit tha comes with the ubolts.
might check with drive shaft shops.
or you might try napa.

My local auto parts store AUTOZONE sell then for $12 pair!!!!!

I purchased a set from early_classic,
Cant remember how much, as its been a while, but they came
with new nuts and really heavy duty washers.
