Lets see your truck!
Pretty much every other area on the site has one. Lets show off those pre 47 trucks! It doesn't matter if its a basket case, someday project, concourse resto or anything between. If you own it, show it off. Post a picture of your truck here.

Re: Lets see your truck!
I'll go first
Definitely qualifies as a basket case. This is my 39 1.5t that I have no idea what I'm gonna do with it. I've got a couple other projects to finish before I start this one anyway.

Re: Lets see your truck!
Here's my wife's 41 she inherited it after her Grandpa passed on a few years back from cancer. Her Grandma knew how much my wife loved her Grandpa's truck so she gave it to her. It still lives in grandma's garage, but we take it to shows when we have time. Here are some pictures of the Gold Rush Car Show in oroville back in May.
The red gmc beside it is my work in progress, I have more pictures I will upload later.

Re: Lets see your truck!
Heres some pics of my diabolical plann First pic is a 35-40 ford frame its got the right drop for the fenderless rod. The second pic is of a C% vette front crossmember assembly jig. if you look closely the vette aluminum engine cradle is sandwitched between and the lower a arm thru bolts are there --the upper a arm mounting bolts ar on the outside uprights. Now i cut the fixture in half and removed approx 6" and slipped one size smaller tube inside and can adjust it and make a crossmember for any track width from 37 to 43".
the copy machine composite cab pic is what my cab will look like, with a 4" front and rear chop--(some like to take out the extra 1/2 " on the front of these cabs). The rear wall is bumped back about another 3 1/2". I hope to have composite panels --The roof and backwall Done and avalable by june for guys that dont want to cut up two cabs and do a lot of welding to get their cab to this point. If I also do a cowl--The 3/8 bead going around the side and top front edge will be smoothed off, and guys could go thru their states procedure and get a replica vehicle title, instead of the regular steel cowl--broadway title BECAUSE these are often found with no number tag to go by/ and they often went by engine serial # or chassis # in some states and they automatically make you got to the govt employed (state dmv)inspector and get a vin assigned to you anyway. Re: Lets see your truck!
I got the 36 gmc hood nose and grill for mine- and No--No origonal will be harmed to do mine, 36 was the first yr of the GMC half ton and it would ba a sick puppy who would mess with a stock one--There are 1.5 ton stake bed ones of someone searched long and hard enough.

Most guys do not know but the 36 is more different than the 37-8 than they know The rear window opening looks the same-it is the same hole--but its positioned 2" lower on the 6 , also the windshield is 12" on the6 and 14" in the 7-8 and I think if someone is taller from the waist up the 37-8 gives a better view and guys dont feel like they have to crowch down in the seat to see--im a shortie so peering over the dash top is the problem. anyway i have a 37-8 with a 6 roof top spliced-its a hybred of both. Re: Lets see your truck!
I have a build thread on here but have not worked on the truck for a while. I did some work last summer on my 68 last summer and hope to get back on the 46 when the weather gets better. Started life as a 1 1/2 ton firetruck and now is getting the cab stretched 6 inches and placed on a 93 S10 chassis.
