How many miles?

As the year is drawing to a close, I'd love to hear how many miles you guys have put on your trucks in the past year! I bet some have a ton, and some have none at all.

Having purchased my truck in March, I just turned over 7,000 miles this year, and that included two months in the summer when it was at the paint shop. Not too bad for an old truck!

Re: How many miles?

I only got about 1,300 this summer because I tore mine down and changed to power disc brakes over the summer. Last year I think it was 2,500. Hopefully more next year.

Re: How many miles?

To the OP I also bought my truck in march and have put just under 6k on it. That's with the truck being down for a month, so it would have been right at 7k more than likely.

I try to drive the truck as much as possible, it's a fun old truck to putt around in, and gets tons of attention and questions, although than can be good and bad at the same time.

I can't begin to imagine have a running reliable old truck and putting the miles on them, or lack thereof, that some of you guys are. Get out and drive those things!!!!!
To each his own I guess.

Re: How many miles?

Im guessing around 500 miles on my K20. And on my panel I rolled the tires that eventually will go on it around in my shop a little, does that count?

Re: How many miles?

I drove it one way to work 23 miles and drove it all year long! The speedo is off 10 mph so not sure of the exact number but it was more than 8 or 9,000 i would guess. 14-16 mpg with an old 350 at 60 mph made me happy!!!! I am thinking i must have a road gear in it cause it is tough to spin the tires.

Needs to be driven even more!!!!!!! Not scared to head to Wisconsin.

Re: How many miles?

About 8000, at least half hauling remodel materials, one 400 mile trip with the car trailer, brought a buddys Tbird home, 500 mile trip with 14' enclosed trailer. All with a rusty 72 c20 with a tired 350 that just won't quit. Great trucks can't beat them
