Neutral Reverse adjustment question

I've got a 350 with a 350 Trans and I seem to have an adjustment problem with my transmission shifter.

My truck won't start in neutral, and the back up lights come on halfway between reverse and park.
It's already caused problems if my truck stalls..I need to not only come to a complete stop, but shift it into park before I can start it again.

Where is the adjustment to be made, on the column, or on the transmission?

Re: Neutral Reverse adjustment question

The switch is on the column down by the brake pedal, and is held on by two 1/4'' bolts. Loosen them up and move the switch a little to the right.
