haha. To each their own. Do what you like. My favorite is a 67 cause it doesn't have side marker lights. But I like a big back window, and the foot ebrake and front disc brakes. So I pieced mine together to be what I wanted.

In hindsight, a more complete truck to start with would have been much easier to deal with.

Re: Is it wrong?

I put a 68 clip on my 72 and added a 2" cowl
Just some advice on project
get the bumper brackets/bumper and core support mount off frame when you get the clip

Re: Is it wrong?

I think you should build your truck the way your friends think it should be done. Doesn't really matter what you think, let them spend your time and money the way they want. I Bet they wont let you cut the dash either Obviously Im yanking your chain.

I have a 68 clip for my 69 panel ... so Im in your camp =)

That truck is a good argument, for sure. Beautiful! Great paint, too. Here's what I think...the 67-68's are the best for lowered, the 69-72's look better at stock height or lifted. Just an opinion. So...what do you have?

Re: Is it wrong?

I have been collecting all the parts in order to put 68 clip onto my 72 2wd blazer. Some of my buddies were giving me grief as well. I just told them they did not have roll in my truck if they didn't want too. That shut them right up!
