Need Def. vents/hoes

I need the def. vents (2) that go on the top of the dash and the (2) hoses that go from the heater box to the dash.

I was looking in the brothers catalog or something and they only have the vents in black (thats ok it matches anything). The old hoses were kinda plasticy, the ones brothers had were called/looked unlike the OEM ones..

Wheres the best place to get these vents and what hoses are better? Plastic or the 'other kind'

Hope this makes sense..

I know I can get these pieces from a junkyard, but they see alot of sun and generally deteriorate pretty fast..Or better yet, anyone have some there not gonna use?

Thanks guys!

Re: Need Def. vents/hoes

I just bought and installed defroster hoses for my 65. Bought the hoses from Classic Parts of America. Excellent quality, copper wire with fabric, like OEM, not plastic. 1964-72 all are the same, and they were only $12.00!

Re: Need Def. vents/hoes

i used the plastic hoses in my longhorn thinking how long they'd last, but they are a bit more of a pain to route, and they tend to push the vents up out of the dash

Re: Need Def. vents/hoes

You should be able to get the vent hose locally at a parts store.

Re: Need Def. vents/hoes

I tried that, took an old defroster hose to Napa and they special ordered some for me. They didn't fit, just a smidgen too small, I took them back.

Save yourself some time and gas, learn from my experience.... go with the $12 ones from Classic Parts.
