Lower and Upper Trim

Alright I got a question for you guys....I don't have the money to buy brand new trim....how hard do you think it would be to clean up some trim and repaint them....do you think they would turn out decent...cuz my truck is black and I need some more chrome and trim to break up the black....Thanks in Advance

Yep, i've painted the black part myself. If you want the woodgrain look, the woodgrain tape is pretty inexpensive and looks great. You can remove small and large dings with a hammer and dolly.

I assume you're talking about the upper and lower molding. You can repair it yourself but it takes a whole lot of time and patience.
Here is a before and after shot of mine. I used a screen door roller to remove the big dents and a sander to smooth them out. After that, I used a buffing wheel to restore the shine. You can have them re-anodized but a less expensive alternative is to coat the bare aluminum with a good grade of automotive clear coat.

bosco200...Eastwood sells a anodize remover that's safe and easy to use....http://www.eastwood.com/ew-anodize-remover-gal.html....
use this, bump out the dings, then a stepped (200, 400, 600, 800, 1200, 1500, 2000) wet sandpaper on each then finish off on a buffing wheel and hit it with clear coat or wax to save the finish....it is very time consuming, but costs less and gives you some great results as shown above
