About the shim packs: I just needed to do some driveway adjustments on my alignment after lowering. My truck had positive camber( top of tire leaning out) so I measured and reduced the shims by an equal amount front/rear to get a negative camber situation. I have some 17" Eagle Alloys that I don't even know if they are going to work. I got them from my brother in law. These are the wheels. Not exactly what I wanted but I got them in a trade...still not sure but I will probably go Old school.
