Quick fender question!

So i am having quite some trouble finding a set of 67-68 fenders (big suprise right?) i just want them to cut up (yeah, bet no one helps me now...) to put a 67-68 front clip on my 94 project..my local CL has a ton of 69-72 but they have the aluminum grille and i dont really want togo that route, what exactly are the differences? will there just be a few extra holes to cover up on the front or is 67-68 my only option? thanks!

picture to show im not crazy...or that i possibly am

Re: Quick fender question!

Have you tried you local body shop aftermarket supplier? Go to a couple of local body shops and ask where they purchase thier aftermarket hoods, fenders, bumpers and grills. Most are forced by their insurance copanies to use them from time to time. The ones that are availble to me have the fenders, hoods and bumpers and a few other parts in the catalog. It is nothing like the great vendors on here but some if not all of those local guys deliver the parts to your shop and no huge shipping fees. Jim

Believe it or not there is another thread on here about that very mod... In fact there was a company making the complete front like yours in fiberglass. If I remember correctly it was $3500. I don't know if they are still in business or not.

Re: Quick fender question!

That is the coolest thing I've seen done to a 90's truck yet. Anyone have a link to the thread on this.

Re: Quick fender question!

Any others know? If I could get a pic of the front of a 67-68 fender and then a 69-72 that would be awesome!

Re: Quick fender question!

69-72 GMC fenders will work for you. They interchange with the 67-68 GMC and Chevy fenders (minus the marker light missing in 67).
69-72 Chevy fenders will not work, they are "clearanced" for the 69-72 Chevy grille.

Re: Quick fender question!

sorry for crappy pic of the 68 have'nt pulled them and prepped them for paint. I plan on doing that so when I change frames on my truck I will have the front fenders primed trimmed and ready to set on. you can see the difference is in the lip where the grill goes in for 69-72 chevy.

Re: Quick fender question!
