I assume you mean SM 465. These are ornery to o-haul. You will need plenty of pullers & good snap ring pliers. You have to drop the counter gear down in the bottom of the case before you can pull the main drive gear. Like c-30 says get a good book. The early models had snap rings holding the 2nd & 3rd gears on the counter shaft. These are known to break & allow the 2 gear to slid back makeing a lot of racket in 3rd gear. The later models about mid 80's had a spacer that goes between them. It's a good idea to put this spacer in when you are rebuilding it. I have the part # if you need it when you get into it.
