Heater Wiring

Soooooo.... the previous owner installed an aftermarket heater and now I am trying to put a stock one back in..... I have the harness (1 plug for the resistor, 1 plug for the back of the controls, 1 plug for the blower motor, AND the mystery wire.... Im guessing it most likely going to go to a switched positive? Is this correct? Also, Is there no ground wire?? Thanks in advance guys....

Re: Heater Wiring

You should have a long orange and or pink wire that plugs into the fusebox. Is this the mystery wire?

Re: Heater Wiring

If you are trying to go back to stock then what you have will not work. You should have a harness that has a 4 prong plug that has 3 wires that got to the resister and the (positive) brown wire under your dash will plug into that 4 prong plug also. (The brown wire gives power to the systom) Now the 3 other wires will go into a plug that leads to the resister, with one wire (orange) coming out of that plug leading to the heater motor. Then there is a short grounding wire that goes under one of the fans mounting screws to the one of the upper housing mounting screws. WES
