Re: 75 carb choke issues - componet ID help
Crossy: My good fellow, read what you just wrote above and think about it for a minute, do you see what I see? You just answered your own question but don't know it, YET. You say your truck will start and run "for a minute or two" before it quits Hum, Hum, Hum. OK, ask yourself if the choke butterfly is open or partly open when it stalls out, if it is, tighten the chokestat a bit to close the choke more positivly and try it again making sure to set the choke as I explained above before you try to adjust the stat. If you don't the choke won't close as you make the adjustment. #3 or secondary choke pull is adjusted by opening or closing the bend in the linkage that drops down just in front of the pulls plunger. A crude adjustment to be sure, but it works. Opening the bend will allow the choke to close further, closing the bend does the opposite. In the teens?? Thats warm. Up here it was -5 last night and tonight it's supposed to go down to -15 or colder. Thats cold enough to freeze a dead witches tit in a brass bra or the balls of a pawn shop. LOL Keep in touch on this issue, jim

Little stuff left to do is mount winch, wet sand & buff out and build belly pan\running boards. Body work takes lots and LOTS of beer!!!! God, Guts and Guns made America and God, Guts and Guns will preserve it! The worst thing you could do is get into my sights, but that don't matter, you'll never know it, cause you'll never hear the shot Jim or Paladin whichever you choose.
