Rim question?

Is it safe to use a 4x4 rim on a 1/2ton 2wd? The center hole on the rim is larger than the truck axle. Is this center hole supposed to be tight around the axle (the stock rim goes on tight around the axle)?

I've got blazer rallyes on my truck with no problems
I believe the rims on our trucks are centered by the lugs and not by the center bore so it shouldn't be problem.
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong though

It has been said on here that the center hole is supposed to carry the weight, however, I have overloaded on 2 of the 3 trucks I've had, and neither one of them had 'propper' fitting wheels. I never had a problem.
So technicly, you shouldn't do it.
In reality, onless you load up like that on a daily basis, it'll hold up fine.
